HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope it finds everyone safe and well. An update on the gig planned for later this month: unfortunately it will not be going ahead. After much discussion between ourselves and with the venue, we came to a difficult decision we were not able to proceed in the current environment. We apologise most sincerely to all those who had already purchased tickets and are informed refunds will be made. We will absolutely be back later this year. We have a new line-up and new numbers to introduce so do watch out for more news in the future. Thanks so much – from all at JM x
This West London-based 13-strong ‘Little Big Band’ is famous for its eight-strong wall of saxes and tight rhythm section, but in its latest incarnation now also features a double bassist, trombonist and trumpeter, which makes for a very different sound. There will be some familiar faces, and some new ones, playing their eclectic repertoire ranging across Jazz and Soul, Ska to Funk, from Dizzie Gillespie to Amy Winehouse, plus a few unexpected additions in between. From 7.30pm
So, we have news on the next gig. You can catch us next at George IV on Thursday April 2nd at 7:30pm. We are practicing a whole host of new numbers to entertain you so you will hear something new, plus the odd favourite. Look forward to seeing you there.
Welcome to our new look website. We have been very busy behind the scenes and we will have new details of our upcoming gigs to share with you real soon so keep checking back… Love from all at Jazz Mondays for a happy 2020
